Description

Turn the leader counterclockwise while the follower maintains the basic rhythm.

Use On1 timing: six regular weight changes on 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 unless an explicitly counted spin recovery, syncopation or held accent is described. Rotation without a step does not add a weight transfer.

This is a slow six-step learning version; do not yank a held hand behind your back.

Tips

  • This is a slow six-step learning version; do not yank a held hand behind your back.
  • Practice slowly with small steps and keep your own supporting balance.

Common Mistakes

  • Holding fingers tightly so the connection cannot swivel or release.
  • Continuing a turn after losing the shared rhythm or your own balance.
